Halls for Hire

The Village Hall is located near the corner of Hemington Lane and Main Street Lockington (Postcode DE74 2RJ). Close to East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington and Kegworth, it has easy access to the M1, A50, A453 and A42. The Hall was built in 1935 and soon became the social hub of the two villages of Hemington and Lockington. In recent years it has been the venue for social gatherings, weddings, birthday parties and a meeting place for exercise classes and other activities. The Hall is managed by the Parish Council and has been recently refurbished. Floor area 12 by 8 metres (36 x 24 feet) • Capacity for 195 people standing or 120 seated • Hanging points for decorations on perimeter and ceiling • Curtained stage at front of hall • Access to kitchen and bar area • 20 folding tables 180 x 80 cm (70 x 30 in) • 60 fabric covered chairs • 80 additional wooden folding chairs available.

Audio-Visual Equipment The hall has free WIFI access and a comprehensive sound system: • Four wall-mounted speakers provide excellent sound quality in the main hall • Control panel enables personal devices to be connected wirelessly (Bluetooth) or by wired connections • Radio microphone can be used separately or in conjunction with streamed audio • For video displays and presentations, a projector and large screen are available with connectivity to a laptop or other source.

The kitchen area has Hob and double oven plus grill, freezer and two fridges, microwave, kettle, dishwasher. Plates, cups and saucers, glasses, cutlery (approximately 25 place settings)

Ladies and Gents toilets are in entrance hall. Separate disabled toilet with Baby Changing Table is off the hall..
